Fellowship Program
Fellows who desire training in Geographic
Medicine do so in a joint Geographic Medicine/Infectious Diseases program. Concentrated
training in the Geographic Medicine laboratories occurs with an aim towards
preparing for a career in research. Most fellows participate in relevant field-based
research activities as well. Integrated projects with the Departments of Epidemiology
and International Health in the School of Public Health are feasible. Fellows
rotate on the Infectious Diseases consultation service and participate in the
clinical training program based in the Division of Infectious Diseases, obtaining
board eligibility in Infectious Diseases. The usual duration of a fellowship
is three years.
