The
research group presently occupies three labs, with attached cold rooms.
The group, as a member of the UAB's Center for Biophysical Sciences and
Engineering (CBSE), has full access to the X-ray diffraction and computation
core facility currently located in the MCLM building. The X-ray laboratory
houses two R-AXIS IV, one R-AXISII, one McScience Dual Image Plate, one
HiStar and one CCD for X-ray data collection. All data collection stations
are equipped with low temperature device. CBSE is also part of a consortium
currently building a dedicated beamline at the synchrotron facility at Advanced
Photon Source, ANL, Illinois. Our laboratories are fully equipped for conducting
protein expression, purification and crystallization experiments.
