Education Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, you should be more informed
about:
* How to manage diabetes mellitus and hyperlipidemia in the
patient with liver disease effectively and safely.
* How to recognize and manage extrahepatic manifestations of
liver disease such as pulmonary disorders, renal diseases and
problems and cutaneous symptoms and disorders.
* The current understanding and treatment of non-alcoholic fatty
liver disease and hepatitis C
* Screening strategies and preventive measures which are needed
in patients with chronic liver disease
* The use of the MELD score to prioritize patient with liver
disease: benefits and problems.

This course is designed for those in primary care and
gastroenterology who diagnoses and/or treatment patients with
liver disease.
Course Format:
We will provide you with important information in just 1 ½ days.
* There will be plenary sessions containing didactic updates on
the most recent developments in liver disease and the
application of those developments in clinic care.
* There will be breakout sessions that use clinical case
presentations and informal discussions to explore the practical
aspects of diagnosing and treating liver disease.
* Throughout the course you will interact with a distinguished
faculty of hepatologists.
