Access Requests Center investigators will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the requirement that the research be appropriate for the Center project and likely to contribute to its success. Molecular Pathology Unit (Dr. Lorenz) 1) Prepare paraffin block from fixed, untrimmed tissue. 2) Prepare paraffin block from fixed trimmed tissue in cassette. 3) Cryostat training sessions. 4) Cryostat usage by investigator. 5) Slides: H&E (frozen or paraffin); Unstained paraffin; Unstained frozen. 6) Special stains: (Alcian Blue/van Gieson, Periodic Acid-Schiff (PAS), Phloxine-tartrazine, mucicarmine 7) Training in murine gastrointestinal cell isolation. 8) Training in fluorescence immunostaining. 9) Training in Cryostat. Human Cell and Tissue Unit (Dr. Smythies) 10) Provide purified human intestinal epithelial cells, macrophages, lymphocytes and dendritic cells from intestine. 11) Establishment of explants from human intestinal tissue. 12) Phenotyping of purified intestinal cells. |
