2008 Liver Center Dinner
The third
annual UAB Liver Center Dinner is set
for April 7 at the Wynfrey Hotel. This
year, we will salute Washington
Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell.
Our honorary chair is Birmingham
attorney Jim Simpson, who underwent
a successful liver transplant at UAB in
2007.
Over the
last two years, our volunteers have
raised nearly $350,000 for the UAB Liver
Center, providing much-needed funding
for patient education, research, new
technologies, the education of future
liver specialists, and the support of
physicians delivering excellent patient
care. These funds allow UAB physicians
and scientists to continue to address
the public health challenges – and the
devastating effects on patients – of
viral hepatitis and other liver
diseases, as well as their
complications.
In 2008,
we are setting our sights even higher,
for the needs and opportunities are
greater than ever. UAB is actively
recruiting additional senior-level
physician-scientists to faculty, who
need staff, laboratory space and
research support. As we plan for 2008,
we hope we can count on you to support
our efforts to give patients and
physicians the tools they need to fight
liver disease. Our sponsorship levels
are as follows:
Diamond $25,000 (Custom
sponsorship package)
Platinum $10,000 Premium
seating for 8
Gold
$ 5,000
Preferred seating for 8
Silver

As a
sponsor, you will create opportunities
for UAB’s dedicated physician scientists
to address the public health challenges
– and the personally devastating effects
of liver disease and its complications.
Sponsors at every level will receive
public recognition of their generous
investment, including pre and post event
publicity.
